My Writing

ShareTweet

I absolutely love writing. I have been dreaming up worlds and characters (sometimes literally forged from my dreams) for the better part of my life.

When I was in fourth grade, we had a dress up day where you came as “what you want to be when you grow up.” I dressed as myself, put a pencil in my hair, and declared I wanted to be a writer. Since then I have been a bit shy with my writing endeavors, writing on the side in high school and college and not telling people my true intentions. But, the writer in me never stopped dreaming or… you know polishing my first manuscript.

My favorite themes to write about are: identity, love, death and the complex relationships that surround us.

  • I love romance in YA fiction, but I hate insta-love and love triangles.
  • I love dialogue and will probably continuously work on plot pacing until I die.
  • I love the smell and feel of a book, but I use a kindle for a majority of my reading because my bookshelves are overflowing.

My agent is Amy Brewer of Metamorphosis Literary Agency
